No more manual enabling of Apple Intelligence on iOS devices. Thanks to the iOS 18.3 update, Apple has got the users (regardless of their tech skills) back on this from now on.
So, what the users are going to have with this update?
Pretty much everything they need in their personal and professional life! Because the rollout of AI features from Apple incorporates bunches of productivity boosters. Starting from writing tools and ChatGPT-powered Siri to Image Playground, and Visual Intelligence — all are coming under the same umbrella now.
Supercharged Writing Tools: Proofreading and rewriting texts are made easy for users. Hence, becoming a wordsmith won’t be a dream anymore.
Image Playground: Users can simply describe what they imagine, and can watch as Apple Intelligence transforms their words into stunning visuals.
ChatGPT-Powered Siri: Let the users dive deep into any subject and conquer complexity with ease through the advanced search results.
Visual Intelligence: Pointing their camera at ANYTHING, users can get answers to their burning questions – it’s like Google Lens on steroids.
It will definitely let the user forget boring old camera modes. The iPhone 16 and 16 Pro also had them along with iOS 18.2. The iOS 18.3 is just getting it in a fuller — more interesting and AI-powered form. Just long-pressing that Camera Control button, users can watch the magic happen! It’s like having Google Lens built right in but with even more Apple magic sprinkled on top.
Calendar Integration and Plant & Animal Identification are two of its new useful features. However, the Visual Intelligence is limited to only the iPhone 16 series. Other devices won’t get the features like a dedicated camera control button.
On a different note, whenever the notification summaries (which is temporarily on hold while Apple fine-tunes to ensure accuracy) feature is back, users will notice that Apple’s giving them even MORE control over the notifications! They’re even made easier to spot with stylish italics. Plus, users can instantly silence those summaries for any app right from their lock screen!
Nonetheless, since Apple has already announced that they’re still perfecting this awesome feature (it’s in beta, after all!), so there’s no harm in remaining alert that users may experience a few hiccups along the way of experimenting with it.
Apart from iPhones, Macs and iPads are also going to have Apple Intelligence enabled by default once the macOS 15.3 and iPadOS 18.3 updates are implemented.
Well, there’s a catch! Users who are looking to use Apple Intelligence in Indian English as their preferred language would need to be more patient as this doesn’t immediately support all languages. They’ll need to wait till April to get it rolled out.
